  Went in to buy a box of acoustic guitars strings. I asked for a medium without a brassy sound. But the guy behind the counter gave me a light box and convinced me that this was the new medium and I questioned him about the phospher bronze label on the box as I was concerned that would give me the sound I don’t like. He seem irritated and told me that the light box was I need. I felt ignored and bullied into buying something I don’t want. When I got home and tried the strings on it was exactly the sound I didn’t want. This happened Wednesday 2nd of May in the evening.

  called them about an electronic piano, had to tell them where it was on their website as they knew nothing about it. When we went into the store later the same day to see it no one spoke to us after being there for 15min so we left. We will be buying one else where!!! :-(

  Knowledgeable, friendly. Not pushy. Only bought a cheap, every level instrument, but was still treated well. Far better than I expected. I'll be going back for all my music needs.

  Music Works is the underdog of Christchurch musical instrument shops. There are good instruments for kids and excellent instruments for serious players... If you're not a Fender/Gibson brand basher. In truth the instruments here are as quality (often better) than other stores. Ultimately, they hold a good range of instruments to suit all budgets and players from beginner to pro. Staff are knowledgeable and as friendly as any place, of this type.
