  The food was good and at a reasonable cost. The service was good as well but we did go during off hours. Would go back again.

  Its a real shame Grand Century has poor management because if you are prepared to wait & have patience the food is delicious!! The problem is the kitchen is located at the back of the restaurant so all waiters serve the back end of the restaurant, by the time they get half way up the front of the restaurant they run out of food. The waiters go back to the kitchen to replenish the food, come out and start serving the customers at the back of the restaurant again therefore if youre located at the front of the restaurant be prepared for an extremely long wait. After 1 hour of being served a few dishes we gave up and tried the restaurant next door which was delightful!!

  Really disappointed with service. Know one knows what’s going on. Took us talking to three different people to get drinks. Asked four times for just glasses of water. A lady came and filled our tea up and spilled water over our food and the table. Asked for some food to be taken away, after waiting over a half hour I was pretty pissed off and decided I wasn’t waiting any longer. Then when I’m paying the guy at the counter asks if I want the food and I was like no thank you I’ve waited to long. Then charges me $78 for my meal and states that the food I ordered but didn’t want is not on my bill. They don’t know what an itemised receipt is. So how am I suppose to know if he’s charged me more then I ordered. I recommend you not going to this establishment because the service is atrocious!!!!!!

  Absolutely brilliant!. What more can I say? Visiting from Auckland, my friend is visiting from China. We agree unanimously - absolutely BEST Chinese restaurant in NZ. Food was authentic, fresh and tasty. Decor freshly updated and opulent. Service faultless. Unbeatable value$. We'll be back tomorrow for yum cha lunch.

  I am a student and I wanted to spend a nice afternoon with my friends. we had to split up the bill so it was a bit complicated. while we were paying we realised that we had been charged $10 extra. I confronted him and found out that $10 was taken out of my account but not on the receipt. I told him that but he wouldn’t listen. I tried to tell him that we had over charged us but he wouldn’t budge. I just left angry and I won’t be coming back.
