::Helpful team who had my booking ready and showed me how the car worked before I departed. No key, push button start, so.ething new every time. The car itself was so so. It was a couple of years old and in good condition without being flash. I connected my phone but it wouldn't let me play music from it. I've done this in all kinds of other rentals from a different company, so I'm sure it wasn't something I missed. And of course they had disabled the navigation function, to encourage people to hire a GPS. The location is great, right next to a petrol station so it's easy to gas up before you drop the car off.

::Spectacularly unhelpful. We had rented a car in Auckland which got a flat outside Hamilton and the Hertz customer care line instructed us to see if we could switch cars at this location. Long story short, we couldn't, ended up driving more than three hours back to Auckland on a donut at slow speed. Really the worst experience I've ever had with a car rental company, which is really saying something. Rude, condescending, impractical, couldn't seem to care less. Stay away!
