::We went here for a work tea building event. It was wonderful! Lihong went out of her way to make it a special experience, and introduce all of us to the riches of Chinese tea culture. We tried three teas, and each was a completely different experience. The tastes and smells even changed between each brew! Lihong also took the time to tell us all about the history of Chinese Tea, and the methods for brewing different teas, while still somehow managing to transport us to a more peaceful world through the sound of pouring tea, its delicate scent, and its soothing warmth. It was such a wonderful day that I immediately started thinking of other people I could invite. And how to share knowledge this treasure with more people. My team mates also left with new enthusiasm for tea, and the knowledge needed to enjoy better tea at home. Lihong, and her tea studio, are truly two of Wellington's most wonderful treasures, and through them you can taste the surprising depth of Chinese tea ceremony and culture. If you can find a few people (six or eight is a good number) then I'd absolutely suggest making a booking. I can't recommend a better way to spend an afternoon.
