  I did the full day LotR-Tour with Wellington Rover and had the greatest time. Obviously you should be a huge fan of the movies, to enjoy this. The price is hefty, but worth it for the nerd in us. It is not anything like the Hobbiton tour, which you can enjoy even if you don't know about LotR. It is not even like you will really recognize the locations they take you to. I mean you will, but they don't look anything like in the movie. It takes away a lot from the movie's magic, and makes you realize who unromantic it looks in real live - but it lets you respect the movie makers work so much more. You will appreciate a lot more how they made the movies become reality and how much work went into it. Combined with the Weta Workshop Tour it is indeed a wonderful experience for the huge fans among us. The lunch was real good, at a place Peter Jackson used to go to during planning and filming, and Chewie, our tour guide was really nice and had many other stories to share about LotR. Our Group's size was about 14, but that's okay since you're all there for your shared interest! Definitly go!
