  The shop is adequate. Since the upgrade to the new cafe area though the food and coffee have been pretty average. Even the cafe service could be better - no offer to warm up my muffin and had to ask if butter was available. At least the fluffys are free and have lots of froth. I'll keep coming as the kids are entertained at the playground but wouldn't come for the cafe experience.

  Great sized car park, loan trailers, helpful staff in the trade department. Usually the best priced hardware and tools in town. Aisles are well signposted and clearly laid out. Sometimes there aren’t any staff on checkout but there is always someone available to check your shopping bag or vehicle. Perhaps a review of this policy is in order.

  Came from out of town to purchase one of their higher end fans ($150+). Unfortunately there was none on the shelf so, of course, I asked a staff member. Their response of "no we don't have any of those" was something I already knew. There was no offer of any further assistance, for example, getting one in from another store, nothing, didn't want to know. I then went and spent $220 on a fan at Mitre 10 Mega. So way to lose sales and future customers as I won't be wasting my time going there again.

  Love Bunnings, staff are helpful, coffee is great, sausage sizzle is sizzling. The only “downside” is the rotorua branch has a better play ground and now the kids wish palmy was the same
