::It’s hard to get information from the support team after calling. It could be better they can be trained well about the information. And, online based system is a hell for people has less computer skills. It should be either the system user friendly or there should be a paper based system, either the way.

::I must say that I'm truly impressed with the service I received from the High Commission of India whenever I needed their help. I needed their service 3 times in the last couple of months and all the 3 times they returned with a sixer! For all the people who's experience has not been as expected, here are some handy tips when requiring service from the High Commission. - Read their website carefully. All their instructions are clear cut there. - Make sure all your documents are in order and you have definitely included a return courier bag. Keep tracking numbers safe. - If you have multiple applications you can include the fees of all of those applications into 1 bankers cheque. Make sure the total is correct. - If they've asked for the documents to be verified by a JP then get it done, it's a free service and JPs are easy to find. You'll be surprised how many are around in your area. I agree that they do take a while to answer the phone sometimes but you must keep in mind that they are not working on your application only, they process hundreds if not thousands of applications for different reasons. The best way to contact them (if you need urgent information) is via email, they usually respond soon except for weekends and public holidays. As long as your documents are in order and supplied according to what they require for that service, then there is no reason for them to delay, unless yours is a special case and needs extra attention. I will be personally sending a note to the Honorable High Commissioner himself about this fantastic experience. Jai Hind!

::There is no problem of any sort if we have the patience to read very carefully through the instructions ... I personally made many mistakes while submitting the OCI because i just brushed through the instructions . The site is very helpful and any contact made through email was responded to immediately ... ::Very helpful staff. This week I submitted my passport for police clearance and next day I realised that I actually needed my passport for Australian visa for my trip which is due in 3 weeks, when I explained the situation to staff at high commission, without taking even a second they assured me that I'll get back my passport within a week (usually it takes 2-3 weeks). So thanks a lot team!!!
