  I visited this hospital in a lot of pain after a tumble off my pushbike. While they couldn't fix the pain, they did their best and I was most relieved to learn there was no long term damage done. As for the people who are complaining, I question if any of them have actually visited a 3rd world hospital. I have, and I would choose a NZ public hospital any day. In the 3rd world, you best go private and make sure you have cash on you to pay in advance before they will treat you and then more cash to pay the full cost of your prescriptions. That is reality. NZ is way better...!

  2nd last time was up here they said they give me pain killers but never did when approcah they said the nurse had given me cause she signed for it so I was in extreme pain and tied tryed it was about midnight and was not impressed sercuty was called after told them they unless and the rest.

  The ground staff are the best and I receive only the best treatment from them. I think that people need to look at the big picture and put things into perspective more.

  this would be 5 stars but because of one nurse in the antenatal/maternity wards disgusting and intimidating manner. Chrissie should NOT be working with new mothers and babies. After a traumatic birth she- out of the 10s of midwife/nurses that attended to me was the most horrible person I've met. I will be laying a formal complaint about her. Short hair and glasses -other staff told me she is NOT a midwife and does NOT have the experience to be working in that department. i HIT THE CALL BUTTON she came in to attend (due to me being immobile which is why they're called attending nurses) she told me I had to get up to change by 2 day Olds nappy myself and stood over me holding him waiting for me to get up. I had to phone my family for support as she stood there telling me to get up as soon as I cried to my partner to hurry up to help me she started changing him. Luckily Maria another nurse came in right on time and got this lady out and never to step foot in my room again. If I ever see that Chrissie lady again I will be telling her my piece. watch out for her she is disgusting.

  Next time I’m in horrendous pain and want to be Ignored for close to 10 hours I will do so in the comfort of my own bed. I dislocated my jaw, but the a&e nurses thought I just had a sore jaw. Headed home in immense pain and unable to eat or drink. Do not bother going here.
