    I started seeing Hamish for personal training when I was about 20 weeks' pregnant. I wanted an exercise programme that was safe for pregnancy and tailored for me, especially as I was experiencing lower back pain and had an old knee injury. Hamish was really considerate, and every few weeks he would tweak my programme to adapt to my increased weight and growing belly! After every session, I felt like I had achieved a good, safe workout and Hamish would frequently check to make sure nothing was too hard or painful. My sessions with Hamish continued up to two weeks before my baby was born, and I'm looking forward to returning for some post-natal workouts!

    My goal was to get into physical activity again and I thought the bootcamp would be a good way to do it. I was not wrong. Great to get up in the morning and enjoy Oriental Bay at its finest - every time! My fellow morning birds was a great bunch of people very supportive of each other and this makes a huge difference. Its hard but its only as hard as you want it to be. Everyone had a different starting point and everyone improved during the bootcamp. The Pulse instructors are fantastic! I had an injury and this was well catered for. Well done Pulse! I am 45 years old and I encourage everyone in their 40's to give it a go.

    From Hugh Ferguson, Jane Little's husband. Training with Nick has given me a lot of insight. He's good at explaining how things work, whether it's the body's mechanics, or how exercises should be done, or how the two things fit together. He's keen and well-read about all aspects of health, especially about diet, and this has helped me change my own diet. Sessions are relaxed, and we've had many interesting discussions, which also helps the exercises go faster.

    I've been working with Hamish from Pulse and he was awesome! He listened to my goals and what I wanted- then he showed me how to achieve my goals and i continue to work with him to stay on track. I also like that I don't have to do this in front of 300 other people!
