  One of the worst hostels I've been in. Way to expensive for what it has to offer The rooms are way to small for the amounts of beds they put in there. When I came into my room my bed wasn't done and was still dirty so I had to change rooms. In my new room the window wouldn't open so the air was very bad and the room way to hot. The mattresses feel like they are 50 years old. In our new connected world you would think that WiFi is free when you are staying in a hostel. And that's the case for most hostels, but not base. WiFi is only free between 9am and 7pm. So I thought yeah I'll just buy the WiFi for 4$ but it wasn't worth it at all. Poor speed so I wasn't able to watch Netflix in bed or learn for my dive test. All in all catastrophic

  Great location, easy access to bars, restaurants. New world Supermarket is 5 mins walk away, will be convinent if you cook by yourself. And close to Te Papa museum, harbour too. Only one thing get really annoying is that you cant actually open the window wide in rooms, not sure is that only in 6 people dormitory room.

  Adequate accommodation and facilities. Could use a bit of a fix up. Great staff

  Ways better than Base Auckland. Clean facilities and comfy beds, car parks next door (charges apply). The basement bar, which belongs to the hostel, is quiet affordable. In general the hostel is more expensive than the average. I saved money by booking online
