::11 months ago I purchased a Samsung S8 from Harvey Norman Mt Wellington. A few weeks ago the charger started to play up only allowing for a slow charge. I returned the charger & phone to the store and, after waiting for an hour, was told that it was the cord at fault and that it would have to be sent back to Samsung which could take up to 12 days. (It was acknowledged that the phone and charger were still under warranty.) When I enquired as to how I was to charge my phone during this period I was told by the manager that I would have to purchase a new cord as they had no "spares" to give/lend to me. The manager was totally unhelpful and unpleasant. It will be my last visit to any Harvey Norman store as a consequence.

::Bought a study table and chair but no service from sales staff. we were on our own . Warehouse staff at the back of store where had to collect our stuff was more courteous

::Very wide selection of electronics at competitive prices. Ask for Joe for a good deal. Keep in mind sales people here can be quite pushy and the prices for desktop computers here are astronomically high.

::This is our local Harvey Norman Store. Used to be a good place. Bought a sennheiser headphones and one side wasn't working. So rang this branch to find out whether I can return it without the bill. Since I ordered this online I had the order receipt. After transferring through around 5 times (each time I had to explain what the problem is) the guy answered saying he has to check with the online team and he's not sure whether they are working on Saturday or not. But he said they can replace it. Then I went there WITH the bill and there was a guy with the turban and a beard. He didn't greet me or even smile. He straightaway said leave it here and they need to return it to the company. He said they will give me a new one after he hear back from the company. I was alright with that. But fortunately some other guy overheard that and he said replace the item immediately without keeping the customer await. I'm not happy with the customer service there now. Used to be a good place but now they don't even greet or thank the customers (Not to be racists but all the people I've met this time are Indians)

::Very helpful attentive staff who know their stuff and not pushy at all. We bought an LG washing machine here just recently and did it with ease, the guys in the warehouse were just as friendly and helpful loaded it into our van for us then we were away. Done and dusted in a little over 20 minutes. Cool.
