::Worst car rental company ever. Basically thieves. Unethical, inconsiderate, money grabbing. I will never rent a car from thrifty ever again, and will be sharing my disgust with their service for years to come.

::Just appalling. Make sure you carefully photograph any car you hire here before and after your trip. Because they will 'conveniently forget' to inspect it when you return it, and then a day or two later, claim that it was damaged and slug you for it. Of course, if you go to look at the car, they will claim that the damage has been fixed in the interim. In over 30 years of hiring cars, I have never faced such shonky behaviour. Furthermore, they don't tell you they've done so. You just get an email that says thanks for hiring, receipt attached. If, because there was no damage, you don't think to check the receipt for extra charges, you wouldn't know until you get your bank statement. Finally, don't pay for a GPS unit, they're out of date and the batteries are dead. So if you go over a bump, the screen will cut out. Not the best when you're trying to navigate a strange city in busy traffic.

::Used a Relocation rental to do a road trip from Wellington back home to Auckland. No issues or hassles with the hire were encountered. Friendly reception upon picking up the vehicle.
