  Took a return car to Auckland for Avis and can not speak highly enough for the service backup at both ends of the trip. RM

  Not happy. We had no issues our entire trip from Auckland to here. We made sure to get gas the night before so we weren't rushing to get the car turned in. The pump clicked off and I tried pumping a little more in but it kept stopping. Turned the car on and it showed to the full line. I had prepaid for the entire vehicle. I now get a bill stating I owe $28.30 NZD for refueling. It was on the friggin full line. I didn't spend $30 the night before drop off for the hell of it. I understand it is petty to complain about so little, but I always make sure the rentals I rent are returned full. Kind of hard for me to dispute this when I'm back in my home country. I guess from now on I need to be diligent in documenting everything. Video footage on pick up and drop off. On top of that, there is no option to pay online. It's old school, pay by credit card seems to be the only option. If you want more information, you have to call a phone number. This was my first time booking with Avis, been booking with Budget prior. May have to change back.

  Hired through this branch once. No issues encountered (on this occasion), the vehicle assigned, a Toyota Corolla, was in clean, tidy and excellent condition. Staff were helpful in taking me through the hire process, prior to getting in the car and driving off. No nasty after hire surprises in the way of unexpected fees, etc.

  Have Prefferred membership so this is always an easy and straightforward experience when picking up or dropping off a car.
